McCandless-Franklin Park Ambulance Authority (MFPAA) is an independent non-profit 501(c)3 proudly providing critical lifesaving Emergency Medical Services (EMS) for our five communities for almost 50 years.

MFPAA is honored to be named the 2026 Pennsylvania EMS Agency of the Year, an award presented jointly by the Pennsylvania Emergency Health Services Council and the Pennsylvania Department of Health.
Recipients are selected based on excellence in patient care standards, safety, training, community involvement, and medical care initiatives.
In 2025 alone, MFPAA responded to nearly 10,000 EMS calls dispatched through the County 9-1-1 system — a testament to our team’s dedication to the communities we serve.

MFPAA’s entire operating budget is relies on billing for medical services, securing grants, receiving municipal contributions, offering annual membership subscriptions, and collecting donations from generous community members like you.
MFPAA provides EMS for 64 square miles in Northwest Allegheny County.
